What is breast screening? Breast screening is a method of detecting breast cancer at a very early stage. The first step involves an x-ray of each breast - a mammogram - which is taken while carefully compressing the breast. Most women find it a bit uncomfortable and a few find it painful. Following the death of a girl in Coventry, all stocks of HPV vaccine from the batch related to this case have been quarantined. Home Visiting
We offer home visits as part of the service we give to our patients. We realise that sometimes it is too difficult to get up to the surgery to see us and, where possible, we will come to your home (or other designated place). Please request a home visit before 10 am where possible. This enables us to organise the day ahead and gives us a chance to ensure that all patients can get our advice.
